Here is the Color Trend Forecast for Fall/Winter 2013. I like to research both the Pantone Fashion color report and the Design Options Lifestyle Home color trend report every season to compare them. It’s no surprise that fashion continues to influence the home design industry. This season has beautiful deep blues, purples, teal, emerald, burnt orange, wine, gray, beige and more. I had put together a few inspiration boards that I thought I would share with you all below, combining the fashion and home color stories with the illustrations by Pantone from some of today’s top fashion designer collections.

Today’s post is all about wallpaper! I love these patterns and the bold teal color is so fresh while the gray and beige colors are nice and subtle for most living spaces. Wallpaper is perfect for powder rooms to add a bit of pizazz, to jazz up a large walk-in closet or to create a fun laundry room. Another way to creatively use it is inside bookcases, on doors or just applying it only under a chair rail vs. an entire wall. You can get snazzy with trims and molding to achieve a high look with wallpaper too.
