Pantone Color of the Year 2019

Hello friends! Happy New Year! Pantone Color of the Year 2019 has been revealed as Living Coral. This pink orange hue is so beautiful and refreshing, I just love it! How do you decorate with it you ask? It can be tricky but can be done brilliantly!

PANTONE 16-1546 Living Coral emits the desired, familiar, and energizing aspects of color found in nature. In its glorious, yet unfortunately more elusive, display beneath the sea, this vivifying and effervescent color mesmerizes the eye and mind. Lying at the center of our naturally vivid and chromatic ecosystem, PANTONE Living Coral is evocative of how coral reefs provide shelter to a diverse kaleidoscope of color.

Coral and Turquoise are a winning combo especially in fabrics. Graphic patterns like this Thibaut Jakarta is stunning when used on larger upholstery items.

Client Master Bedroom Reveal

Hello Spring! Today I’m sharing another online e-Design client master bedroom reveal. The client requested a dramatic and elegant design with textured glam elements. This custom e-Design included two options for the South wall, a floorplan layout and full shopping list that included all of the clients new selections which are showcased in the design concept boards below.

South Wall #1 includes an option for wall art, tall table lamps and a custom headboard.

South Wall #2 includes different wall scones options to coordinate with the clients existing chandelier.

The East wall includes new window treatments, chaise lounge, side table and cozy area rug.

North wall includes a dresser, wall mirror and a door that leads to the back patio.

West wall is the entrance into the master and also leads into the en suite on opposite side.

The Floorplan layout includes furniture, lighting and accessory placements.

Coastal Interior Decorating

Coastal interior decorating is a style that is requested quite a bit from local and online e-design clients. Being in California it’s naturally a popular look and design style for homeowners. Here is an example of an e-design client project for an entry/foyer I recently finished. My client needed a console table, storage and favored geometric shapes as well as natural elements.

Foyer 1 – includes a white modern console table with drawers, rattan ottomans with lids for shoes and whatnots.

Foyer 2 – includes an elegant natural finished console table and alternative area rug.

Virtual Interior Design Service

Hello Friends! Virtual interior design service is affordable and convenient for local and out of state clients that would like a room design plan that they can implement at their own pace with budget in mind. Today I’m sharing another online design client that we worked with awhile back that needed her living space designed with a home office and a fireplace. Her space size was modest so we created a floorplan for her as well. She submitted the design questionnaire along with her room photos and measurements and within 1-2 weeks we emailed her digital e-design boards, floorplan layout and purchase list to her. She loved her new designs and couldn’t wait to start decorating.

Living Room Design Option #1: My client requested a soothing organic look with function.

Living Room Design Option #2: We did provide her a second design with a few different elements including an alternative swivel chair, area rug, ottomans, coffee table, mirror, floorlamp and accessories.

Wall 2: included a small home office area with a new desk and shelving near her double sliding doors.

Wall 3: features her new fireplace with an accent mirror option and accessories.

The Floorplan: is open, relaxed yet functional with everything she wanted. Floorplan layouts are are essential to a design so that you can get the most out of your space.

E-Design Interior Design Services

Hi Friends! Today I’m sharing another online e-design client project. My client contacted me with the need to redesign her master bedroom. She expressed that she wanted a sophisticated coastal theme with cool colors. She completed the online design questionnaire, submitted her room sizes and photos then we emailed her new design within 1-2 weeks along with her new floorplan and purchase list.

West Wall: My client already owned the side tables and lamps and wanted to incorporate them into the new design. She requested a textured wallpaper that would go with her current wall color. So we gave her a soft color palette with soft blues, creams and texture.

North Wall: Seating Area

East Wall: TV wall with dresser and coastal theme wall art
