I can’t even begin to tell you how much I am in love with Japan, so much that I went there for my honeymoon in 2010 and visited Tokyo, Kyoto and Nikko. It was a dream of mine and it finally came true with my husband. Once I was there it was even more incredible then I thought it would be, it inspires me like no other place. We went in January so we didn’t get to see the beautiful cherry blossom trees in full bloom but that’s okay there was more then enough to see and discover. It’s now cherry blossom (sakura) season in Japan which is the national flower. Ever since Japan gave the US 3,000 cherry trees back in 1912 as a gift of friendship it is celebrated every year at the National Cherry Blossom Festival in Washington DC and of course in Japan.
